Shrimp Skewer Recipe

Prepare this combination of prawn and bacon skewers, browned to perfection on the non-stick surface of our griddles. As well as offering even browning and delicious flavour, our griddles are easy to clean and are ideal for any kitchen. Accompanied by a tasty spring onion, pepper and carrot vinaigrette, these skewers are the perfect dish for any occasion.

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 prawns per skewer
  • Carrot
  • Salt
  • Green pepper
  • Chive
  • Bacon
  • Chives
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • White wine vinegar
  • Bread

ELABORATION

  1. Lightly oil the side of the skewers where the shrimp will be placed. Use kitchen paper to distribute the oil evenly.
  2. Peel the shrimp and thread each one onto the skewers, making sure they are as symmetrical as possible.
  3. Sprinkle the shrimp with a little salt, garlic powder and chopped dried parsley. Drizzle a little oil over the top and make sure to coat the shrimp and bacon well with the seasonings.
  4. Heat a griddle pan over high heat and coat with a little oil. Place the skewers on the hot griddle pan and cook until the prawns turn slightly white.
  5. Turn the skewers over and cook for a few more seconds until fully cooked and golden.
  6. Finely chop the spring onion, pepper and carrot. Place them in a bowl and add 2-3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, a teaspoon of white wine vinegar and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  7. Place each skewer on a slice of bread. Top generously with the prepared vinaigrette and finish with a sprinkle of chopped fresh chives.
